In my quest to experience what all of the Aman properties have to offer, we trotted down to the Dominican Republic last weekend to stay at our fourth ever Aman hotel: The Amanera.
Let me just start out by saying that you simply cannot go wrong by choosing any Aman. They are all incredibly special and unique in their own way, yet all offer the same high end, world renowned class and style that you could only dream of in a hotel.
In true Aman form, as we checked into the Amanera, everything was seamless. A welcome cocktail was given immediately upon arrival for a quick property tour. As we arrived at our villa, our bags were waiting for us along with our check in form {yes you perform check in at your room instead of in the lobby, which I love}.
My favorite thing about the Amanera in particular are the rooms. They are next level amazing. We had our own pool and separate living room and bedroom areas. The villa screamed honeymoon destination. I also really loved the beach! This location offers fun waves with activities such as boogie boarding, kayaking and other outdoor sports {all of which are available to rent on the beach}. It was a nice departure from the Turks & Caicos location. Both amazing. Both offer a different beach vibe.
Overall the visit felt incredibly tranquil as we were immersed in nature. There were always birds chirping among the lush landscape that the 25 rooms {yes there are only 25 rooms!} were tucked away in. We felt like we were on our own private island!
